Sugar Diabetes – What is it?

You probably have heard the term Sugar Diabetes, it’s also know as type 2 diabetes and mellitus.

This is the stage where your entering the warning zone for future problems.

These cases are typically ranging between the ages of 30 to 45, these are the averages, but in recent time the ages are dropping. We are even seeing children with cases of diabetes increasing at alarming rates.

Normal blood sugar levels are between 65 and 140. High blood sugar levels fall between 250 and 350, while very high levels are over 350.

In a nut shell your metabolism is what digests food for growth and energy. Most of the food we eat is broken down by our digestive juices into simple sugar. This simple sugar is called glucose which is the main source of fuel for the body. For this source of fuel to get into the cells insulin must be present. Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas.

Signs

Lets review some of the symptoms associated with diabetic conditions.

  • excessive thirst
  • excessive urination
  • thrush
  • extreme hunger
  • unusual weight loss
  • extreme fatigue
  • irritability
  • nausea
  • vomiting
  • sweet smelling breath

The key is if any of these signs linger on past normal levels, then your doctor can do the appropriate tests for diabetes.

Complications

Many people don’t even know they have a pre-diabetic condition. You may think that fatigue is just the normal feeling after a long day, and most of the time it is. What if you don’t recharge properly?

These are the signs you must look for.

What happens if this condition goes unattended? Well, it’s not good, look at a few things that can occur.

  • Heart Disease
  • Stroke
  • Kidney Failure
  • Sciatica
  • Diabetic Retinopathy

Over time elevated glucose levels will cause these problems if your diabetes is left unattended. Also, you cells are starving for oxygen.
